Fitz (Lead Vocals). John Fitzgerald started his music carreer performing in front of 5,000 people with his High school start up band, Seraph, back in 1977. From then on, Fitz worked with several other top name projects and worked the tri-state area club circuit under the Creative Talent Agency who also managed Twisted Sister, White Tiger and other local favorites. Up until 1989 - Fitz was always a rocker but an opportunity to work as a sound engineer for his friends, The Cats, who were the backing band for several famous doo-wop and motown bands opened the door to start "Fitz and the Cats". This opportunity gave Fitz the chance to perform material that he was raised on as a child. And today, he shares the stage with the NEW "Fitz and the Cats" band that is comprised of the best talent New Jersey has to offer.

Chris (Drums & Lead Vocals). Chris has been playing the drums on and off for most of his life, and considers himself strictly a ”recreational” drummer. He has supplied the rhythm for many central Jersey bands both as a full-time member and as a sub, and has been with this incarnation of Fitz and the Cats since 2011. Besides playing and programming with “the Cats”, his work can also be heard on CD’s by Connecticut-based bands Free-Fall (“Flying”) and Twice Around (“Short Story Long”) as well as the debut album by former Broadway singer Elizabeth Dargen Dolye (“In Sunshine or in Shadow”). He is on the production staff of Drum Fantasy Camp™, an annual week-long intensive drum camp that brings in the world’s top drummers. He has also worked as a drum tech for drumming greats Dave Weckl, Peter Erskine, Joel Rosenblatt, Tommy Igoe, Tony Royster Jr. and former Journey drummer Steve Smith. He is a fan of all styles of music, and finds inspiration in anything with a good groove!
Mark (Bass). Information to come.
Mandy (Sax, Flute, Lead Vocals). Mandy is a graduate of the Crane school of music in Potsdam, NY where her primary instruments were bassoon and flute. She was bitten by the “funk bug” and then inspired to learn saxophone. Mandy then spent years performing hundreds of shows with her own band “Honeycreeper”, where she was the singer, saxophone player, and songwriter. Between gigs with Honeycreeper, she had also found time to perform classical recitals and dozens of musicals as a pit orchestra player doubling on flute, saxophone, clarinet, and bassoon. Mandy has 15 plus years experience teaching woodwinds both privately and in public school. Career highlights include Honeycreeper’s national tours, playing warped tour with Angelo Moore of Fishbone, recording TV pilot talk show “Suburban Underground” as a back up singer and Baritone sax player in the house band, and being able to watch a handful of her students earn a living as working musicians. Mandy recently relocated to New Jersey and is excited to have the opportunity to bring her high energy sax playing and vocals to “Fitz and the Cats”.
